Designing with
Architectural Principles, Materiality, Context
and User
Our second assignment is to design a pavillion like space. We as a group of 3 are required design the space with an imaginary site and explore inner spaces within given volume.
Our design is inspired by the Chinese word '又' which mean "again". There’s a lot of meaning behind the word “again”. People often think about again like a circle, no ending, no beginning. But in chinese, the word 又 that represents again have two tails, giving it an alternate ending for every experience. No matter how many time you went though our pavilion, each time will be a different experience, giving you a new sense and feeling.

Reflection of Mine
Regrading to the TGC, I found 'Thinking and Problem Solving Skills'.
The problem was how to design a roof with bueatiful and logical terminologies. We are good at designing stuff using aesthetic but not in a logical ways. We always though that we are just at the beginning of the journey of the architecture. Thus, logical building and also climatic study are not needed for our building. Yet, ADII is the course that force you to realize and start picking up some construction skills and not just finding details online to fake it.
