BUILDING, CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL

As the name speaks, this assignment is about the construction material in the building. We still draw drawing as usual like floor plans, section, elevation. But this module focus more in drawings like roof to floor section, door, window and staircase detail. In this assignment, our technique are polished and approach more to the rules and regulation in architecture drawing as all materials have different technique to draw.

Famous Architect’s building

This project is designed as an exposure for students on building materials that are universally used in building design. Hence ,students are required to choose any ONE of the listed architects to conduct a case study on buildings in the context of architectural material and structural features together with its relation to the design concept of the chosen buildings.

Construction Detailing of Building Elements

This assignmentis designed to allow the students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding on building construction through drawings. It will emphasis more on detailing on building elements. One of the aims of this assignment is to develop an awareness and understanding of the strong inter-relationship between design and technical knowledge.
